What to do when partner brings up the past

What can you do when your partner brings up a past issue during a present argument?

You probably already know this, but it is definitely more harmful than helpful to bring up past stuff during a present conflict. That’s because it usually derails things, it doesn’t allow for dealing with and resolving the present issue and most the time ends up creating resentments.

I know that I have been guilty of doing this in my relationships. Now I have learned how to create what I call full “Relationship Repair” around present and past issues that might be unfinished.

Watch this video to learn exactly what to say when your partner brings up the past in a conflict. You’ll also learn what “Relationship Repair” is as well as the 5 steps to creating it in a present conflict or to finish a past one.

Most people are not making sure a conflict is truly completed when it occurs. And when it’s not completed it’s not uncommon for it to come back around in a present argument.

Watch this to stop the past from popping up. You can bring completion to any past conflicts and help build deeper more fulfilling connections.

Put some of this into practice. Then share how it went or any “a-has” or questions below.
